I’ve Been Holding Back, but No More

In June 2020, when I wrote Breaking Free from Body Shame, I was holding back. Not on truth, or honest stories. But I was holding back.

With my last two books, I wrote and filmed an accompanying Bible study for women who wanted to take the idea of the book a little deeper + further. I assumed I’d do the same for this book on body image, so I held back some of the meatier content that I thought would make an incredible Bible study. I imagined women gathering in churches and homes across the world, finding wild healing and hope in their personal study - the same way I had.

But when it came time to write + record the study, we were in sort of limbo season (2020 + 2021 threw EVERYBODY off, am I right?) and there wasn’t a 100% agreement amongst everyone involved that a Bible study was needed.

But the problems were: I was 100% convinced it was needed AND I had held back all this material I was ready to share with you. So after a few months of praying and planning, my team here in Charleston decided to pull the trigger and get this Bible study in your hands.

We’re in the thick of producing it now - both a video Bible study you can watch alone or in groups, as well as a digital Bible study guide that you can use with the videos or on its own.

And we’re thrilled to be releasing them in early January: right when everyone else is trying to make their bodies better, we’re going to dig into God’s Word and find out what He says about ours already being good.

Whether you’ve been studying the Bible for a week or twenty years, you’re going to love this study. Whether you’re diving in deeper with a group or by yourself, you’re going to love this study! I have so many thoughts, so many scriptural references, so many deep dives into the words of Jesus that are going to leave all of us FEELING just as free as we ARE.

I’ve been holding back, but no more!

Join the waitlist here to make sure you get all the news about the study first. Maybe we’ll even throw in some sneak peeks?

I can’t wait.
